Iran to hold presidential election on June 28​

Iran’s presidential election will be held on June 28

28th of June was determined as the day of the 14th presidential election, Iran says. The registration of candidates will start on the 30th of May.

According to Isna, in a meeting hosted by the acting president, Mohammad Mokhber, attended by high-level authorities, it was decided that according to the initial agreement of the Guardian Council, the election to determine the new president will be held on June 28, 2024.

Registration of candidates will be done from May 30 to June 13, and the campaign period will be from July 12 to 27. The new president will be elected for a 4-year term. Until his election, Mohammad Mokhber, the first vice president will be the acting president, according to Article 131 of the Constitution.
